A Little Bit About Myself
My name is Matt Stallings. Originally from Raleigh, I moved to Wilmington to study at UNCW and graduated in 2022 with a degree in Business Administration concentrating in Finance and Marketing Strategy, and a minor in Psychology.
When I'm not working, I can usually be found outside, taking advantage of the activities our beautiful coastal region has to offer. I am a NABCEP® certified PV Technical Sales Professional (#TS-110823-013658) and an FAA licensed drone pilot.
What is the NABCEP® Certification?
The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners® (NABCEP®) is the most respected and widely recognized certification for renewable energy professionals. The PV Technical Sales Professional credential requires a proven track record in photovoltaic system sales and passing a rigorous exam.

4) Promises upheld
5) Professional, competent, and courteous
6) Locally-based maintenance and support for 25-year warranty
We began working with Matt Stallings our Project Developer on August 25th, 2023. We signed the contractual agreement on September 6th. Despite the short timeline, Matt guaranteed that he would meet the October 1st deadline to secure “Net Metering” with Duke Energy and have us operational by December 31st to secure the Federal Income Tax credit. He did not disappoint!
We went live on December 15th and have “net metering” with Duke Progress. More importantly, Cape Fear Solar was an absolute pleasure to work with. I cannot recall working with a more well-oiled machine. Their employees are top-notch!
We were thorough and deliberate about who we did business with for our solar project due to the long-term maintenance and support tail. We have no regrets on our decision and look forward to our 25-year relationship and partnership with Cape Fear Solar Systems!” -Homeowner
